The cost of building the new Technical School, and the annex of the Pedagogical Institute, will amount to €27,715,000, the duration of the work will be 36 months and it will receive funding from the EU. Construction is expected to be completed within 2025. The new Technical School will be able to accept 700 students and is intended to attract children from the region, in which until now there are no Technical Schools, as a result of which the children who come from it are discouraged to follow a technical direction.
The new school building will be state-of-the-art, with fully equipped laboratories for the disciplines of Mechanical Engineering, Services, Industrial Design and Applied Arts. There is also provision for new majors such as Renewable Energy, Digital Technology-Programming, Hospitality Management, Jewellery Design-Making and Apparel Design-Making.
