Project Overview
The project concerns improvement and upgrade of Archbishop Makarios III Avenue in Ypsonas, 800m long. The cross section of the road consists of 7m roadway, third lane for right turning movements and paved sidewalks. The sections intersect at intervals as circumstances require. The road surface was layed with interlocking brick for approx. 300m . The entire AHK electrical network and its contents were brought underground including telecommunications, water pipelines, sewage pipelines and stormwater pipelines. In addition, rainwater pipes were installed and we transported the road surface water to the river which is at a distance of 500 meters from the road under reconstruction and at another location the rainwater was transferred to 19 absorption pits that we constructed in a ring arrangement.
